Meet the magnificent Ivan and, in the background, his handsome brother Irwyn. These friendly boys came to PAWS in December and are only a year and half old.

While I was taking pictures Everet said, “Hey, what about me? I’m still here at the shelter too”.
Update: You won’t be surprised to learn that Ivan has already been adopted!

Some of the pairs at the Shelter came in together. Some found comfort in new friends that they met at PAWS.

When people can be so cold

I’ll come running to see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall

The dogs love playtime in the shelter‘s fenced yard- except on rainy days.
Meanwhile, the cats were happy to be dry and snug in their beds. Here is Maine Coon mix Phoebe and her constant companion Zoe-Bob.
Our returned old friends, Zoe-Bob and Phoebe, are settling back into life at the shelter. I hope their stay will be brief.

They’re back at the shelter again.
Phoebe is now eleven and Bobbi (renamed Zoe-Bob) is eight.
The good news is that they’re safe, and they will never be separated.
Gizmo is the orange cat in the background, Angel is a Maine Coon mix, and Roxy in the foreground is a gray tabby.
Even in sleep they find comfort in the touch of a friend.

And if you look at Roxy’s tummy you will see Angel’s paw hugging her.
Of course we want them to have homes. But meanwhile, shelter life is pretty sweet.

These two shy girls came to the shelter separately, but I sure hope they leave together.
This pretty stray cat was brought in to the shelter recently, ending her rough time on the street. Angel is shy but friendly, and must have had a family that loved her at some point. I wish we knew her story.
