Here’s an update on the continuing process of easing our foster kitten Mickey into our furry family. Gracie is hissing less and keeping a fairly close eye on him. Tommie is still hiding under the bed…

We got some great name suggestions: Barnaby, Marvin, Sir Isaac Neutered…
But Mickey Mouser is his name-o.

Gracie says, “We don’t need no stinky kitten.” We hope she changes her mind!

Meanwhile, back at my house, Gracie ( formerly the PAWS kitten ‘Windy’) and Tommie were busy working on sudoku puzzles.

Scratch Lounge Again

When I saw how much the shelter cats liked the Scratch Lounge, I decided to get one for Gracie. She likes scratching on it better than on the couch! And it matches her eyes.

Six years ago we adopted Gracie from PAWS. She was thrilled with her party hat and Tommie gave her a kiss.

Cat Toys

At the shelter, some of the cats are loose together in small rooms and some are in cages. It depends on their age and condition and temperament and health. Occasionally I buy a package of cat toys to keep the caged cats from getting too bored. But I have to bring the mice to the shelter before Gracie catches them!
