“Play with me play with me play with me pleeeeeese!”

“Will you play with me?”

Yankee is happy that there’s a place where he can get away from pesky kittens. Poor Kosmo!

Yankee and his orange sister Doodle are still available at the Shelter. Tabby brothers Kosmo and Kramer almost had a home, but the adoption didn’t work out. The second time will surely be the charm!

Some cats and kittens at the Shelter are so appealing, it’s surprising that they aren’t adopted immediately. Thicket, who spent months of her kittenhood charming the staff and volunteers, has finally gone to her new home.
Maybe she was just waiting for the right family.

You can see Thicket’s baby picture HERE.

Sunday at the Shelter was a pleasure. I started out by cleaning and playing in the kitten room where I met little Trinket.

What a sweetheart!

Luke has such a beautiful soft coat! He’s friendly, sweet, playful, and he’s got a very cute tail.

I wrote about Blanche a few months ago- you can see her kitten pictures HERE. As she has grown up, she’s developed some beautiful subtle markings.

Update: Blanche has been adopted!

Sunday, little Divine was alone in a cage at the shelter.
Her siblings Coco Peru, Hedda Lettuce, and RuPaul were already adopted.
I hope she gets a home of her own very soon,
long before she grows into her large ears!

Speaking of ears, this is interesting…

These lucky three week old kittens were rescued from a wooded area and brought to the Shelter. After they are fostered, with tender loving care, they will come back to the Shelter ready for adoption.

It will be about a month before they are available. See you later, fuzzies!

When I met little kitten Blanche this week, I thought of Blanche Dubois in “A Streetcar Named Desire.” Her big line at the end of the movie was, “I have always depended on the kindness of strangers.”

The cats, kittens, dogs and puppies at the shelter depend on all of us.
In a few weeks PAWS is having it’s biggest fundraiser of the year. It’s called “Bark in the Park”, or as I like to call it, “Meow in the Meadow.”
I have a secure donation page, CLICK HERE, and would be so grateful if you could help with any amount!

Blanche thanks you too.
