When I see the first flowers coming up in the garden, and a new crop of kittens at the Shelter, I know Spring is coming.
Kristy and her sister…
Steffie!
These kittens won’t be at the Shelter long. They’re cuddly, sweet, playful girls. So cute!

I found many lists of popular cat names on the web, like this one from cuteness.com. Oddly, they don’t list Hippity or Hoppity…

Here are Hippity and Hoppity. I bet you won’t be surprised to learn that they came to the Shelter in the Spring. They are devoted to each other, and they are looking for a home where they can stay together.
And this is sweet Ophelia who is just four years old. Love those ear tufts!

Around our house, this is the toy that Mickey Mouser finds irresistible.
Mickey and I were playing with it the other night while watching Jackson Galaxy work his magic on Animal Planet’s “My Cat from Hell”. Suddenly Jackson opened his guitar case and pulled out the identical toy!
I think the secret of its allure is a very flexible long wire and a cute little mouse made of bristles. We highly recommend the Cat Catcher.

Here’s Mickey checking out the ipad app, “Game for Cats“. It has three levels of play which include a mouse, a butterfly, and a dot of light similar to a laser toy.
Gracie was briefly amused, but when the mouse went off screen she tried to get under the ipad to see where it had gone. Cats are hunters and my cats weren’t interested for long- once they found out they weren’t going to actually catch anything.
Still, it’s a free app and if you have an ipad, Mickey and Gracie suggest you check it out. Tommie opted to take a nap.
If you like people games for mobile devices, my daughter has a review site – Best Game Apps.

Ringo was enjoying a sun bath.
While Yankee decided to sleep in.
Ringo’s a healthy, laid-back, big boy and is ready for adoption.
Yankee and his sister Doodle need to be adopted together and would make a wonderful instant family. Go to the PAWS SHELTER for more information.

Roommates Junior (on the lower perch) and Patch were both “owner-release” cats, although not from the same household. They have been living the Shelter life for quite a while.
Their days are spent napping and people watching from the window that looks into the PAWS lobby.
When they see someone come into the shelter, are they thinking, “Will this be the person who brings me home?”
Patch is almost four years old and Junior is about two and a half. They are healthy and ready to go!
