Here are Puck and Brittany.
They are shy young cats, but Brittany purred the whole time I was in the room. That’s little Grasshopper below.

When Sunday morning volunteer Jo Ann sat down in the meeting room, she discovered that Tallahassee is a lap cat.
Tally is about a year old- a bright, curious, and affectionate girl cat.

I thought this kitten was appropriately named for a mischievous fairy or sprite. Turns out Puck’s a character in the TV show “Glee”. A cute name for a seriously cute kitten!

There’s a lot of good news about recent adoptions at PAWS. You can read all about it at the Animal Shelter Volunteer Life blog.

To celebrate the Year of the Rabbit, I am posting a photograph I took in 2006 when the shelter housed some rescued rabbits.

Most of the rabbits had their own room separated from the cats and dogs. But one rabbit had been found living with a colony of cats, eating cat food, and sleeping cuddled with a litter of kittens.
When that rabbit was brought to the shelter, he stayed with his cat family.
