When I saw Bootz lying on this fabric last June, I thought, “What a perfect Halloween picture!” I hoped that Bootz would be celebrating at his own home by now, but he is still waiting at the shelter. He’s full of cute tricks and would be a treat as a roommate!
Four month old Muffin is the only girl in the group. Pancake missed the class picture, but here is tabby Waffle, and gray Biscuit. They are full of kitten energy and ready for adoption.
I’m a pushover for tabby cats- there’s something about those stripes…. Bebe and Justin are both lovely tabbies with similar markings, but still so very different. My first cat, Esmerelda!
Today I started cleaning in Cat Room #1 at the shelter, and was surprised to see a new resident in Bijou’s cage. Pretty gray and white Della is twelve years old, quiet and loving.
This 6 year old torbi girl has beautiful markings. So does her sister Krystal who is a calico. A “torbi” is a tortoiseshell cat with some tabby stripes. You can read about markings here. Do you think your cat’s personality is linked to the color of his or her coat? Check out this webpage.
Pretty little Carmella was adopted this week, as well as some old friends who had been at the shelter for quite a while (those are the names with stars). See where it says “Mickey (from Foster)”? Kitten Mickey is officially ours! This is Carmella.
