Our Lucky Day
Twelve years ago I saw a mother cat and her kittens passing through our front yard. There were a lot of feral cats in our neighborhood back then.
I called out, “Here kitties, kitties!” The momcat and two kittens disappeared into the woods and were never seen again.
The third kitten came to me. We named him Tommie and we lived happily ever after.
