The shelter has kittens. Despite the snow on the ground, Spring is in the air! Amanda is the dark tortoiseshell and her sister Amy is the pale dilute torti.
UPDATE: They have been adopted together. Yea!

Imagine that you are 60 years old. Your family decides that they can’t keep you around any more and drops you off at a shelter…
That’s Carrie’s situation. She’s 11 years old. Is she bitter or angry? No. She’s one of the most affectionate cats at the shelter.
There’s a handy conversion chart here- how old is your cat?
UPDATE: Carrie has a new home!

The cats in C7 are such good and entertaining company, sometimes I think the shelter could raise money by charging admission to this room!
Unfortunately, sweet Zee, Annie, Butch, and Etta from the original “Hole in the Wall Gang” are still waiting for homes.

At 9 months old, Franklin is a very outgoing friendly teenager.
Franklin has been adopted!

I don’t usually clean the room where Potsie lives, (hey, PAWS volunteers, is this Potsie?) but now I know I shouldn’t leave the paper towels where he can reach them.
I love working and photographing at the shelter, but I’m not a writer. For stories about PAWS cats, you can visit this very cool blog!

This is 6 month old Larisa who is at the shelter with her mom, Margarita.
I’ve been reading about cat markings, and she would be considered a patched tabby, maybe.
Tortie-tabby, torbie, caliby, dilute whatever… she’s a very cute cat!
You can read about markings here and get more confused too.
